Apple Monster Bites

Create fun and healthy apple snacks that kids will love. These monster bites are easy to make and perfect for parties or after-school treats.

Ingredients
  

For the Monster Bites
  • 2 green apples quartered
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter or sunflower seed butter
  • 2-3 strawberries sliced thin
  • 2-3 TB sunflower seed kernels or other nuts
  • googly eyes homemade or store bought

Equipment

  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Carefully cut off the core from the edge of each apple quarter.
  2. To make the mouth, cut a wedge into the middle of the apple.
  3. Coat the inside of the mouth with peanut butter or sunflower seed butter.
  4. Place 3-5 sunflower seed kernels on the top of the mouth for teeth.
  5. Place a thin strawberry slice inside the mouth for a tongue.
  6. Dab a small amount of peanut butter on the back of each googly eye and place above the mouth.

Notes

These apple monster bites are a creative way to make fruit fun for kids. They are perfect for Halloween parties, after-school snacks, or any occasion where you want a healthy and visually appealing treat.
