Avocado Toast

Ingredients
  

For the Toast
  • 2 to 4 slices bread toasted
For the Topping
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 lemon wedge for squeezing
  • sea salt
  • desired toppings optional

  • Knife
  • Fork

Method
 

  1. Halve the avocado vertically and remove the pit. Use a small knife to dice the avocado flesh while it's still inside the skin.
  2. Season the flesh with a squeeze of lemon juice and sprinkle it with sea salt.
  3. Scoop the diced avocado flesh out of the skin and onto the toasted bread. Mash the avocado with the back of a fork and top with your desired toppings.

Notes

This recipe is a base for many variations. Feel free to add your favorite toppings like chili flakes, feta cheese, or red pepper flakes.
