Creamy Beef Stroganoff Skillet Meal

A quick and easy beef stroganoff made in one skillet.

Ingredients
  

For the Stroganoff
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms sliced
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
For Serving
  • 12 ounces egg noodles cooked
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, until mushrooms are tender.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, sour cream, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine.
  5. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
  6. Serve the beef stroganoff mixture over cooked egg noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

You can add a tablespoon of flour to the onions and garlic before adding the broth to help thicken the sauce further.
