Ingredients
  

For the Pie
  • 1 ready-made unbaked pie shell or pie crust
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 eggs lightly beaten
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 3 tbsp butter melted and cooled
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cup pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet or dark

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Prepare your pie crust or unwrap the unbaked pie shell and set it aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the brown sugar and beaten eggs. Stir in the flour until combined. Add the corn syrup, and once that is mixed in, stir in the melted butter and vanilla extract.
  4. Gently fold in the pecans and chocolate chips into the batter.
  5. Pour the mixture into your prepared pie shell. Place the pie in the preheated oven.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the pie to cool completely before serving.
