Ingredients

SALMON
  • 4 salmon filets 6 oz each
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika or regular paprika
  • 1/4 tsp blackening seasoning optional
SAUCE
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 Tbsp water
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice

Equipment

  • Oven-safe skillet

Method

  1. Pat salmon dry, then season with salt, pepper, paprika, and blackening seasoning (if using). Set aside.
  2. Adjust oven rack to the middle position, then preheat broiler. Be careful not to place the rack too high, or the sauce may burn.
  3. Add butter and oil to a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once the butter is melted, add garlic, water, soy sauce, sriracha, honey, and lemon juice. Cook for about 30 seconds, until the sauce is heated through.
  4. Add salmon, skin side down (if using salmon with skin), and cook for 3 minutes. While the salmon cooks, baste frequently with the sauce from the pan by spooning it over the top of the salmon.
  5. Broil salmon for 5-6 minutes, basting with sauce once during the broil, until the salmon is caramelized and cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Garnish with minced parsley if desired.

Notes

This Honey Garlic Salmon is a versatile dish that pairs well with many side dishes. Consider serving it with steamed vegetables, a fresh salad, or cauliflower rice for a complete meal.
