Method
- Place the coffee ice cubes, milk, sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, salt, and optional instant coffee granules in a high-powered blender.
- Blend until the ice cubes are crushed and the mixture is smooth.
- If the mixture is difficult to blend, let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes, then try blending again.
- Pour the blended mixture into glasses.
- Top with whipped cream, if desired.
Notes
If you do not have a high-powered blender, you can soften the coffee ice cubes slightly in the microwave on the defrost setting for about 45 seconds. Be careful not to melt them too much, as this can result in a runny frappe.
