- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Toss gently to coat the peaches evenly.
- Pour the peach mixture into the 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour and 1/2 cup brown sugar.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the milk until just combined to form a thick batter.
- Drop spoonfuls of the topping mixture over the peaches in the baking dish.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
