Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Velveeta cheese spread cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1-2 tablespoons hot sauce such as Frank's Red Hot or Cholula

Method
 

  1. Stovetop Method: In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the Velveeta cheese cubes and milk. Stir constantly until the cheese is completely melted and smooth.
  2. Stir in the hot sauce, starting with 1 tablespoon and adding more to your preference. Continue to stir until well combined.
  3. Slow Cooker Method: Place the Velveeta cheese cubes and milk in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 1 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the cheese is melted and smooth.
  4. Stir in the hot sauce, starting with 1 tablespoon and adding more to your preference. Stir until well combined.
  5. Serve immediately with tortilla chips.

Notes

This queso dip is naturally low-carb and keto-friendly. For a richer flavor, you can add cooked chorizo or seasoned ground beef to the dip.
