Slow Cooker Pulled BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 3 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
For Serving
  • 6 hamburger buns or rolls
  • coleslaw optional
  • pickles optional

Method
 

  1. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred with two forks.
  6. Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce.
  7. Serve the pulled chicken on hamburger buns. Top with coleslaw and pickles, if desired.

Notes

You can adjust the amount of BBQ sauce to your preference. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little more chicken broth or water.
