Ingredients

  • 30 pretzel rods
  • 30 oz chocolate candy melts divided use for dark, white, and green
  • 1 package Halloween sprinkles
  • 40 pieces candy eyes
  • 10 slivered almonds
  • 15-30 pieces candy corn

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Wax paper
  • Tall cup
  • Saucepan
  • Piping bag

Method

  1. Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with wax paper.
  2. Melt the green chocolate candy melts. Place the melted chocolate into a tall cup. Dip each pretzel rod into the cup, letting excess chocolate drip back in.
  3. Place the dipped pretzel rods on the prepared baking sheet. For Witch's Fingers, add a slivered almond to the top as a fingernail. For Frankenstein pretzels, add black sprinkles and candy eyes.
  4. Melt the white chocolate candy melts. Dip pretzel rods into the white chocolate and place them on the wax paper. Add candy eyes to create ghost shapes.
  5. Melt the dark chocolate candy melts. Dip the remaining pretzel rods into the dark chocolate. Decorate these as monster pretzels using sprinkles, candy eyes, or candy corn.
  6. Place the remaining melted dark chocolate into a piping bag. Pipe mouths onto the Frankenstein pretzels and simple oval or circle mouths onto the ghost pretzels.
  7. Let the pretzel rods set at room temperature for 20-30 minutes, or in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes, until the chocolate is firm.
