Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook ground meat and chopped onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat. Season with salt and pepper to your preference.
- Transfer the cooked meat mixture to a greased 2-quart baking dish.
- Arrange the frozen Tater Tots evenly over the meat mixture.
- In a separate bowl, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup with the milk or water. Pour this mixture over the Tater Tots.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake, uncovered, for 30-40 minutes, or until the casserole is heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
